TCM Mechanism:

Sinusitis & Rhinitis:

Often due to lung qi deficiency, spleen dampness, or wind-cold/ wind-heat invading the nasal passages, leading to congestion, runny nose, and headaches.

Meniere’s Disease:

Attributed to phlegm-damp obstructing the middle and inner ear, liver yang rising, or kidney essence deficiency causing dizziness, tinnitus, and imbalance.

Tonsillitis:

Usually results from wind-heat or toxicheat accumulation in the lung and throat, leading to sore throat, swelling, and fever.

Glaucoma:

Related to liver yang rising, liver and kidney yin deficiency, or phlegm-fire obstructing channels, leading to eye pressure, vision disturbances, and headaches.

Eye Fatigue & Dry Eyes:

Often linked to liver blood deficiency, yin deficiency, or excessive heat damaging body fluids, resulting in dryness, blurred vision, and discomfort.

Oral Pain (Toothache, Gum Pain, TMJ Disorder):

Usually due to stomach fire, wind-heat invasion, or qi stagnation leading to pain and swelling in the mouth and jaw.

Floaters:

Associated with liver and kidney deficiency or blood stasis obstructing the eyes’ collaterals, manifesting as dark spots or drifting shadows in vision.
